I was born in Fort Simpson, Northwest Territories and was raised by my grandparents in Wrigley, Northwest Territories. My upbringing was very traditional, with most of my days being spent on the land. My culture is South Slavey, Dene from the Deh Cho Region here in the north. The values I have learned gave me the spiritual foundation in writing my books. They are a testament to my cultural values and my passion for fantasy, the mythical legends of witches, wizards and warlocks. They take you on a journey of self discovery with the main character, Godiah, whom in some parts are a reflection of myself.
